"Wine Information and Wine Talk"
When you are invited to a dinner party, it’s always appropriate to bring a bottle of wine. It's not good wine etiquette to expect your wine to be opened that evening therefore do not bring a bottle of white wine already chilled. Most hosts/hostesses will have their wine planned out ahead of time to pair with their meal.
The type of wine you would bring depends on your host's preference, if it is red then you would want to bring a red wine that is appropriate. If you are unsure, at the point of purchase ask the wine expert for direction about which wine would be acceptable to purchase for a gift. See GIVING WINE AS A GIFT
